This year Berwick Cricket Club are running teams at Under 11, Under 13, and Under 15 Levels.
New players of all ages and abilities are welcome.
Junior Club Rules
This club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members. This club believes that it is important that all those associated with the club should, at all times, show respect, be encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with the chairman of the club’s committee. As a member of the Berwick upon Tweed Cricket Club you are expected to abide by the following rules:- 1. All members must play within the rules of the game and respects the umpires and their decisions. 2. All members must respect their opponents. 3. All members must keep to agreed timings for training and matches or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late or unable to attend. 4. All members must wear suitable kit for training and matches as proposed by the coach or team manager. 5. All members must pay fees for coaching or matches promptly. 6. Junior members are not allowed to smoke, or consume alcohol or drugs on the club’s premises or while representing the club at competitions. Code of Conduct for Junior Players

Berwick Cricket Club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents/carers or guardians associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with John Simmons the clubs Welfare Officer. As a member of Berwick Cricket Club you are expected to abide by the following junior code of conduct:
1.All members must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions.
2. All members must respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of gender, ability, cultural background or religion. 3. Members should keep to agreed timings for training and competitions or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late. 4. Members must wear suitable kit – for training and match sessions, as agreed with the coach/team manager. 5. Members must pay any fees for training or events promptly. 6. Junior members are not allowed to smoke on club premises or whilst representing the club at competitions. 7. Junior members are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises or whilst representing the club. 1. Encourage your child to learn the rules and play with them. 2. Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials. 3. Help your child to recognize good performances, not just good results. 4. Never force your child to take part in sport. 5. Set a good example by recognizing fair play and applauding the good performances of all. 6. Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making a mistake. 7. Publicly accept the umpire’s decision. 8. Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport. 9. Use proper and correct language at all times.
